Tap Changer Diverter Switch Withdrawal and Oil Compartment

- Drain the oil from the tap changer conservator and diverter switch oil compartment.
- Dismount the drive shaft, if necessary.
- Open the tap changer head cover.
- Use suitable lifting tools or crane to withdraw the diverter switch from the oil compartment and place it on a clean workbench.
- Clean the oil compartment thoroughly and remove all carbon sediments with appropriate materials & tools.
- Check the insulation materials, fixed contacts, and other components of the oil compartment.
- Align all the tap positions: Top, Motor, and RCC.
- Change necessary O-rings, seals, and gaskets. Verify and check the selector switch contacts.
- The service provider must arrange the necessary oil flange.
- Confirm the condition of the insulating cylinder.
Tap Changer Diverter Switch Dismounting and Mounting

- Dismounting and mounting of the on-load tap-changer.
- Remove the contact shells of the diverter switch.
- Clean all components.
- Check the transition resistor, measure the resistance value, and replace if required.
- Check the flexible leads, contact carrier, and screw connections. Replace if required.
- Install necessary inspection materials.
- Carry out updating measures as recommended by the manufacturer.
